hey, Grampa! what's for dinner?

Five minutes away from turning 30. Mom is here (home--I'm writing from here instead of the office for a change), asleep in my other bedroom (I hate to call it my "guest room"--I like to think of it more as my "office/studio" but really it's just a big room full of boxes.) and Nina is curled up against the bathroom wall. I am so exhausted because all weekend Mom and I have been walking around to different casinos--we've been to Mandalay Bay, Aladdin, Paris, Bally's, the Luxor, Excalibur, the Tropicana, and Caesar's Palace, plus the Regent and Suncoast up here in Summerlin. It took Mom a little while to figure out how to work a slot machine (before this weekend she had never set foot in a casino in her life, period) but now she is pretty good at it.

More later when I'm in my thirties.
